What is KCCP?
KCCP, this year's Pacific Northwest District Project, stands for the Kiwanis Children's Cancer Program. It is partnered up with 3 hospitals- Seattle's Children Hospital (Washington), Doernbecher's Children Hospital (Oregon), and BC's Children Hospital (Yukon and British Columbia)- to fundraise money to help train the next generations of pediatric oncology specialists and researchers! |
How does KCCP work?
Well, we fundraise. One way or another, through car washes, bake sales, game nights, and fun runs (ahem! us?!), Key Club members throughout the PNW raise money to fight children's cancer. The donations are distributed among BC Children's Hospital, Seattle Children's Hospital, and OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital, where they will spent on fellowships. Fellows will work alongside doctors to find and utilize new treatments that are less harmful to younger patients. |
