Presenting... Highline Key Club's grandest event of the year! Join us in celebrating the diversity here at Highline. This event will be held at Highline High School's Cafeteria on Tuesday, October 16 from 5-7 PM. There will be a fashion show, various cultural performances, and a potluck, so don't forget to bring a dish from your culture to share with everyone!
Highline's Multicultural Night also has another purpose of raising money for the PNW Key Club District Project- Thirst Project, the world's largest youth water organization. Highline Key Club's goal is to raise $300 from this event, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated towards fighting and ending the global water crisis. The event is free; however, we would appreciate it if guests could bring some spare change to be donated throughout the event and during Miracle Minute.
Let's come together to celebrate our diversity and help fight to end the water crisis!
Message from One of the Representative of Thirst Project
The Thirst Project Our mission is simple: Build a socially-conscious generation of young people who END the global water crisis. We do this by educating students about it and activating them to rock the clean water cause & build real water projects all over the world. Why Water? Health and Sanitation: Waterborne diseases kill more children every single year than AIDS, Malaria, and all world violence combined. Small children typically do not have strong enough immune systems to fight diseases like cholera, dysentery, or schistosomiasis.
The Multicultural Night was Successful!
Thank you for the ones who celebrated with us! It will not be this successful without all of your help.
The total amount that we raised for the event was $520.00! All of the money we collected goes to Thirst Project.
Message from the Highline Key Club President
It was our very first time hosting a Multicultural Night ever and I'm thankful to all who helped set up the event, who participated in the event, and those who attended and donated to a charitable cause to provide those people in need for clean water, especially in Swaziland, Africa. Thanks to everyone who contributed in their own ways, the event was a success.
